Billy Sherrill was one of the biggest figures in popular music. Producer, songwriter, A&R man and arranger were among his many strengths. He started working for Sam Phillips of Sun Records fame and went on to take a job at Epic Records.

Billy was inducted into The Musicians Hall of Fame in 2008 as a producer.

He leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Charlene, his daughter Catherine Lale and her husband George, and two grandchildren, Samantha and Matthew. Funeral arrangements are unknown at this time.
