Note from Joe Chambers (CEO MHFM):

On behalf of the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum, I would like to thank everyone who attended the Inaugural Induction Ceremony at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center on November 26, 2007. We would also like to thank everyone who has taken the time to call or write to let us know how much they enjoyed the show.  We have tried to relay the compliments to all the inductees, as well as the artists who sang with them, and everyone else who volunteered their time in support of these great musicians. The number one question we have been asked is, “When is the next Induction Ceremony?” Well, as of now, October 28, 2008 at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center is the date! We will announce the 2008 Musicians Hall of Fame Inductees later this summer.

We would also like to thank everyone who has toured the Museum, rented the facilities, and referred others to use the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum for their showcases, weddings, birthdays, or corporate events.

The MHFM brought in the New Year with several visits from the musicians showcased in the museum. The Red Hot Chili Peppers' drummer Chad Smith dropped by the MHFM on January 18 for a Meet and Greet with the press and some of his Nashville fans. joe chambers & chad smith in front of his exhibit at the musicians hall of fame
Chad donated several items including photos and a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert poster to go along with his snare drum which he used to record on his Blood, Sugar, S**, Magik and Mother's Milk albums, that is already on display in the museum. When Chad returns to L.A. after his Stadium Arcadium Tour, he will be sending much more memorabilia for his exhibit in the museum.

Billy Cox, bass guitarist during Jimi Hendrix's stay in Nashville dropped by to visit the museum on January 22. Billy took photos in front of the actual stage where he and Jimi played together in Nashville in 1963. The MHFM had acquired the stage and other parts of the club and has reassembled it in the museum as a tribute to Hendrix and Billy. In addition to playing with Jimi in Nashville, Billy was Noel Redding's replacement in The Jimi Hendrix Experience, performing with him at Woodstock.

Congratulations to The Red Hot Chili Peppers for their Grammy. We would also like to extend our special thanks to Billy and Garry for coming by and supporting the MHFM!
